1. Store peas and beans unwashed and tightly wrapped in a breathable bag.

2. For longest shelf life, wait to shell peas until you’re ready to cook them.

3. Brown spots, withered tips and the beans pushing through the pod, mean you’re running out of time to eat them, but unless they’re slimy, they’re still likely good to go.
