Ambassador Spotlight : Amanda Laddie
Every once in a while we like to shine a little (well-deserved) light on one of our Hungry Harvest Ambassadors - the Superheroes who spread the word about Hungry Harvest produce & our mission through their blogs, social accounts & everyday conversations.
So for our first installment...Meet Amanda Laddie - a zoo educator, blogger & true Hungry Harvest Hero!
Amanda became a Hungry Harvest Ambassador after starting her blog, Full Belly Whole Heart. The inspiration for her blog? The Hungry Harvest Recipe Club! Amanda was posting photos of every dish she whipped up in the Recipe Club, but wanted more! She made an Instagram account dedicated to her food creations and followed other successful bloggers, before leaping into the blogosphere.
On Full Belly Whole Heart, Amanda shares her favorite fruit & veggie recipes, unique ideas for using her harvest, and even freezer friendly tips! She spends about an hour in the kitchen a day cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, so she is a true fruit & veggie expert.
Amanda is close to hitting the ONE HUNDREDTH harvest mark! She loves Hungry Harvest because it (almost) fulfills her dream of being on Chopped! She uses Hungry Harvest fruits and veggies like challenge items and, although she didn’t mention it, we’re sure she pretends her dog is Ted Allen.
In addition to shouting about Hungry Harvest from the rooftop or cooking up a storm, Amanda works as an educator at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore! She gets to interact with all sorts of animals, including her favorite of the week - the laughing kookaburra.
